On the evening of October 21st 2023, I invited my friends and neighbors over for drinks and a get together. Little did I know that that night, I would come to meet the most special person of my life. The girl who sang "Blackbird" captivated my heart and my soul.

She took a random chance with a mutual friend Deylis, and decided to come join us that night, without knowing anyone at the party…

After some chatting and hanging out in the group, I knew I needed to make a move and get her number, to get to know more about her. So, I asked her if she wanted to join our “group” chat. I didn't want to come off too strong but knew I couldn't let her go without taking a chance now that I had her number.

Two days later, I sent out a text that changed both of our lives and we hit it off INSTANTLY, talking about dogs, Lord of the Rings, Formula 1, traveling and history. We just could not stop talking to each other and sharing our stories!

I invited her to my favorite Italian restaurant called “Zuccarelli’s” and after that took her to an adventurous date, with axe throwing. I believe we both felt the magic, and the butterflies in our stomach. I knew that night of October 27 2023, deep in my heart and soul, that I would marry her.

We have not gone one day without talking to each other, building on our relationship and laughing together since that night. Now that we are committed to getting married, we will never be apart.

It was a normal day in October. One very special friend had a her baby shower and even though I didn't know anyone besides her, I was so happy to be there!

We were having an amazing time and one of the other guests that I met that day, Deylis, told me that they were having a party at her very cool apartment building. When I said "Yes", I didn't even imagine that would change my life.

We went to that party and it was incredible: people from different countries and backgrounds. I wanted to be a part of that!

But one of them stood out from the crowd. He was guy from Brazil with a very beautiful smile, making caipirinhas and talking about the Roman Empire. I engaged in conversation and soon we were both talking to each other (and debating about history! -yes, in a very geeky way-). Before I left I also found out he played the guitar and I found myself singing to Blackbird.

Two days after he took a chance and wrote me a message, after which everything changed, and I got to know this incredible person that is going to be my husband soon. We laugh, STILL talk about history, sing, play and laugh all day to nonsense. I could't have asked God for a better partner in this life.
